Birthdays & Milestones

The Italian art of celebrating — birthdays and milestones at Capriciano, in the heart of Santa Rosa’s wine country.

In Italy, a birthday or a milestone is not marked with a quick toast and a slice of cake — it is honored with a long table, a flowing wine list, and a meal that everyone remembers. At Capriciano, we bring this same Italian sensibility to celebrations at our Santa Rosa osteria. Whether you are turning forty, fifty, eighty, or simply marking a year you want to remember, we will help you plan an evening of handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, Italian and California wine, and the unhurried hospitality that turns dinner into a memory.

What Makes a Celebration at Capriciano Special?

Italian Hospitality, Sonoma Setting
A celebration deserves more than a reservation. It deserves a setting, a menu, and a team that understand that this night is different from the others. Our osteria sits in the heart of Santa Rosa’s wine country, with private and semi-private spaces, a wine list that spans Italian classics and Sonoma County standouts, and a kitchen built to feed a table of two — or thirty — beautifully. From the first toast to the last espresso, we take care of the details so you can take care of your guests.

Why Choose Capriciano for Your Celebration?
Built to Host the Table

Our osteria was designed with the long Italian table in mind — private dining for intimate parties, a full Al Fresco Terrace for warmer evenings, and the option of a full restaurant buyout for the largest celebrations. We host birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and family gatherings of every size, and we make every one of them feel personal.

A Menu Worth the Occasion

Every Capriciano celebration is built around food and wine. Hand-cut pasta, wood-fired pizza, San Marzano sauces, Sicilian sea bass, slow-braised lamb shank, and a wine list that runs from Valdobbiadene Prosecco to a Vietti Barolo Castiglione. Tell us what you love — we will build the menu around it.

What Our Clients Say About Us

Took my husband here for our anniversary. Sat on the Al Fresco Terrace, ordered the Capriciano Graze Platter and the Sicilian Sea Bass, and somehow stretched dinner into a four-hour evening. Could not have asked for a better night in wine country.

Best wood-fired pizza in Sonoma County, full stop. The Margherita is what a Margherita should be — three ingredients, perfect dough, lightly charred. The Pizza Capriciano is more adventurous and worth the order. Crust comes out of the firewood oven in under three minutes.

Walked in not knowing what to expect, walked out understanding what people mean by “real Italian hospitality.” Our server walked us through the wine list, recommended the Rigatoni Mezzi with Wagyu Bolognese, and never made us feel rushed. Capriciano is going to be a regular.

I’m from Brooklyn, and I’ve been chasing the right Italian dinner since I moved to California. Finally found it. The Lasagna is layered the way my grandmother layered it, the Bolognese tastes like Sunday, and the bread is actually warm. Take that as the highest praise I can give.

As someone who works in the local wine industry, I’m picky about lists. Capriciano’s is one of the most thoughtfully built I’ve seen in Santa Rosa — Sicilian whites you can’t find everywhere, a beautiful Etna Bianco, a proper Vin Santo flight. Our server paired every single course.
